The site is characterised by the presence of discontinuous coralligenous outcrops which emerge from muddy substrates.The outcrops are very irregular, with high degree of rugosity, and form walls, crevices, and overhangs. Silty sediments cover a large part of the cavities and the coralligenous assemblages.
